K-W Poppy Fund at Legion Convention

The Royal Canadian Legion District "C" Convention was held Apr 14th and 15th in Goderich. At the Convention, I was proud to present cheques from the K-W Poppy Fund to the Ontario Command Bursary Fund for $5,000, and to the Joe Sweeney/Homeless Veterans Fund, also for $5,000.
At the conclusion of the Convention, I presented Ontario Command Vice-President Sharon Johnson with our cheque for the Provincial Poppy Fund, again in the amount of $5,000.
In each case, these were the largest donations in their categories, and the generosity of the citizens of KW in their support of the annual Poppy Campaign was much appreciated. Jim Meyer
