ATTENTION VETERANS

Any Veteran or Veteran’s Family who requires Assistance

As the province has enacted a declaration of emergency to help contain the spread of COVID-19 and protect the public, we were required to close our facilities; however we are encouraging any Veteran or Veteran’s family who requires assistance to contact our Branch Service Officers or the K-W Poppy Fund through email – which we will be monitoring from home.  While closed, we are still ready and able to assist any Veteran or Veteran’s family who requires assistance.  

The Royal Canadian Legion Branches and the K-W Poppy Fund continue to support our Veterans and their families through these trying times.  We understand that during this time of crisis there are needs and financial distress and we remind Veterans and their families that the Royal Canadian Legion is only an email away to assist. Our Provincial and Branch Service Officers will help in completing any applications for assistance free of charge.

Although our Branches and Offices are closed to the public, we remain committed to provide the necessities for our Veterans. We have Provincial staff, including Provincial Service Officers, working from home, who are in contact with Veterans Affairs Canada on a daily basis.

If any Veteran in Kitchener-Waterloo requires assistance they can contact their local Branch Service Officer or contact direct to Ontario Command or the K-W Poppy Fund and if you provide your full contact information, someone will get back to you as soon as possible.
