KW Poppy Fund donates $56,386 to Hospitals & Cadets

On march 26th, 2010 the KW Poppy Fund presented cheques to the three local Hospitals as well as Parkwood Veterans Hospital in London. As part of the annual Youth and Education Awards night Mike Edwards, treasurer of the KW Poppy Fund handed cheques to:

1) Suzan Dusick, VP, St Mary's Hospital for $15,992.55 towards the purchase of a Blanket Warmer, an Epidural Pump and a Vital Sign's Monitor.
2) Kim Wilhelm, Development Officer and Ron Caudle, Board Member, Grand River Hospital Foundation for $15,000 towards the purchase of a Cardiac Monitor and $6,894 for two spot monitors for Freeport Health Centre.
3) Sue Hardy, Senior Development Officer, St Joseph's Healt Care Foundation - Parkwood Veteran's Hospital for $13,500 toward the purchase of three Specialized Pressure-reducing Matresses.
4) Five Cadet squadrons/Cadet Corps $1000 each towards the cadet movement and operations.
