WHY WE REMEMBER WEEK 2011

The K-W Poppy Fund, under the auspices of RCL Branch 530, and with the kind assistance of members of local Legions and Veterans organisations, presented the annual week of education to promote Remembrance amongst our school children.
Comrade John Champion made two presentations daily, and in total over 2,100 local students now know the meaning of Remembrance.
We gratefully acknowledge the help of the many volunteers, Teachers, and the Veterans, both older, and recent/currently serving, who attended to relate some stories to the students.
A special treat for the kids was Comrade Dan Graham, who honoured our young guests by piping them in upon arrival.
